Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights activist, author, model and actor. Her work has received acclaim for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). The Getaway was released in 1972. New York, she was born and raised into an artistic family. At first, she worked as a photographer's assistant. Later on, her career shifted into directing and modeling. MacGraw was noticed in two of her films and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. MacGraw became a global celebrity after her movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. After only three movies, she was voted the Top female box-office debut around the globe. The Grauman's Chinese Theater engraved her autograph, hand-prints and foot prints in the year 1972. Other credits include The Getaway Convoy Players, TV miniseries The Winds of War and others. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was published. MacGraw is divorced three times.
